About the ETRO Studies

Fueled by Passion. Driven by Discovery.

The Etro Studies are being planned, conducted, and monitored by Genentech, a leading biotechnology company that discovers, develops, manufactures and commercializes medicines to treat patients with serious or life-threatening medical conditions.

The Genentech Etro Studies team is composed of dedicated healthcare professionals working toward developing the next path to potential treatment for Ulcerative Colitis (UC) and Crohn’s disease. We cannot identify a potential new medication without the assistance of clinical study participants.

Our purpose

At Genentech, a member of the Roche Group, we believe it’s urgent to deliver medical solutions right now – even as we develop innovations for the future. We are passionate about transforming patients’ lives. We are courageous in both decision and action. And we believe that good business means a better world.

That is why we come to work each day. We commit ourselves to scientific rigor, unassailable ethics, and access to medical innovations for all. We do this today to build a better tomorrow.

We are proud of who we are, what we do, and how we do it. We are many, working as one across functions, across companies, and across the world.

Our values

The three Genentech values—Integrity, Courage, and Passion—are core to how we want to behave, as individuals and collectively as an organization.

  • Passion means we use our drive and commitment to energize, engage and inspire others.
  • Courage means we are entrepreneurial and thus take risks, reach beyond boundaries and experiment.
  • Integrity means we are consistently open, honest, ethical and genuine.

The Genentech values define fundamental attributes for guiding decisions and actions leading to increased innovation and business performance.
